Join the Journey
Follow the Knot is a solo endurance feat and conservation mission, yet others may walk this path with me. As we track the Red Knot north, I welcome company along the route. Over 10,000 miles, this effort mirrors the birds’ own 10,000-mile struggle for survival.
A Journey, Not a Tour: Participants may join for a single stop or a longer portion of the migration. You must organize your own travel and follow the expedition’s established schedule.
Athletic Portions
Participants joining athletic portions of the journey should understand that I will follow my own planned route, schedule and pace and will not adjust them for individual participants.
Travel Logistics
You do not need to swim, run or cycle to join the journey, but everyone who participates is expected to donate, fundraise, or both in support of Red Knot conservation. Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel, accommodations, and other personal expenses.
Conservation Impact
Advocate for Red Knots and their habitats. Every contribution moves us toward the arctic breeding grounds to ensure these birds survive.
